The built-in HTML Editor, also called the text editor, refers to the style and formatting option toolbar across the top of any text box in MyCourses. It provides you with the tools necessary to edit the appearance of your post as well as include URLs, images, videos, etc. This tutorial defines some of the most commonly used tools available on the HTML Editor.
IMPORTANT: The MyCourses editor does not contain a spell check feature. Ensure that spell check is enabled on your browser so that you don't miss any spelling or grammar mistakes.

Bold - Click to bold selected text. |

|
Italicize - Click to italicize selected text. |
|
|
Underline - Click to underline selected text. |
|
|
Font Color - Click to change font color. |
|
|
Text Alignment - Click to change the alignment of the text.
|
|
|
Bullet or Number List - Click to bullet or number a list of items, and to indent. |
|
|
Insert Stuff - Click to insert items including files from your computer, YouTube videos, web links, and embedded code. |
|

Insert Quicklink - Click to insert URL (links) to websites. |
|

Insert Image - Click to upload and insert images. |
|
Equation - Click to insert an equation. Click the dropdown menu next to this icon to select an equation type. |

Insert Table - Click to create and insert a table. |
|
|
Font - Click to change the font type. |
|
|
Size - Click to change font size. |
|
|
More Actions - Click this to reveal a second row of additional actions. |
|
|
Full screen - Click this to make the textbox full screen. |
|
| Format Painter - Click this and then highlight text that needs to be changed. | |
| Accessibility Checker - Click this to see if your text is accessible to screen readers and other accessibility programs. | |
| Word Count - Click this to see how many words are in the text, a word counter is also automatically displayed at the bottom right corner of the text box in the editor. | |
|
Preview - Click to preview the text in a new window. |
|
|
View Source - Click to view the HTML source. |
|
|
Undo and Redo Last Action - Click these to redo or undo last action. |
|
|
Expand - Click and drag to expand the size of the html area. |
