Technical Support

Advising and Financial Aid

  • Advising at SPC - Our advisors can help you achieve your academic and personal goals by helping you with college entrance procedures, long-range academic planning, general education and degree requirements, course selection, courseloads, transfer options, placement test results and new student orientation information.
  • Financial Aid - Not sure how to pay for college? Financial Assistance Services provides guidance on grants, scholarships, student employment and loans to help pay college expenses.

Tutoring and Academic Research

  • Learning Center Tutoring Schedules - Visit the Learning Center on your campus for the tools you need to succeed: FREE tutoring, computer labs, help with your next paper and a quiet place to study.
  • Online Tutoring (Link to a Smarthinking Kb page coming soon) - SPC students can get online tutoring through Smarthinking, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Sign into MyCourses and enter into one of your classes. At the bottom of the page, there will be a box for SPC Resources and a link to Smarthinking will be listed.
  • SPC Libraries - Visit one of our eight campus libraries, ask our librarians for research help or find materials through our huge online library.

  • Accessibility Services - SPC Accessibility Services provides accommodations that ensure equal access for all students.

  • College Skills - There are several skills that you will need to develop in order to be successful in reaching your academic goals at St. Petersburg College. Ultimately, you define your own success. SPC is here to help you along your path. As one component of that support, we have compiled a number of resources that can help you become a more well-rounded and successful college student. Resource areas include Study Skills, Technology, Ready to Learn, Motivation, Time Management, and Support and Space.

 

    Campus Safety and Security

    • Campus Safety - St. Petersburg College is dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of students, staff and visitors by providing quality services and information to help make the time that you spend at SPC safe and enjoyable.
    • Emergency Alerts - When an emergency poses a potential threat to life and safety, the college will issue timely warnings (Clery reportable crimes) and/or emergency notifications to students and employees. The college’s main website at www.spcollege.edu is the official source of college information regarding the status of the institution. You will also find all emergency alerts on our Emergency Preparedness blog.
