Proctored Testing with Honorlock

Your course may require one or more of your assessments to be proctored. Proctoring will be conducted using a fully-online service called Honorlock. Check out Honorlock's Support for Test-Takers to learn more. This service is free to students and no scheduling is required!

Requirements:

  • A computer (Minimum operating systemWindows 10, MacOSX 10.13+, or Chrome OS)
  • A webcam & microphone (Don't have a webcam but need to take an Honorlock assessment? Here are some options that may help.)
  • Google Chrome browser (download Google Chrome)
  • The Honorlock Chrome Extension (download extension)
  • A stable high-speed internet connection (Speed : 1.5 Mbps download, 750 Kbps upload)
  • A quiet and bright location to take a proctored exam
  • Students can run a system requirement check by going to the Honorlock Support page. Scroll down until you see "Simple Single-Click Test".

NOTE: Honorlock Support is available 24/7 to assist you with any Honorlock related issues you may experience. Their support site lists how you can contact them via live chat, email, or phone.

 

We strongly recommend you take the Honorlock Practice Exam several days prior to attempting any actual exams to ensure that your system is properly configured and that you are familiar with the process.

 

NOTE: FOR SOME COURSES...If a possible exam rule infraction occurs, a "pop-in" proctor may temporarily pause your exam to discuss the potential issue with you. Additionally, your exam may "pause" if the system looses track of your face (e.g. while you are working on scratch paper), but will resume as soon as your face is visible again.

 

Finally, it is critical that you provide a complete room scan prior to beginning your assessment. Failure to provide a complete 360 degree scan (or as close to 360 degree scan as possible) can potentially lead to your having to retake the exam or worse.
